Your dear friend is to tie the nuptial knot. You received the invitation .Now!, the big thing is deciding what to wear to the party? The attire of the guests adds a lot of zing to the ceremony. Most of the time the theme of the wedding is indicated in the invitation card If it is so, abide by the theme may it be festive, traditional or whatsoever.

Keep a few things in mind. Always choose your apparel according to the season of the wedding. The fabric, color and dress should be chosen accordingly. If it is a summer wedding go in for some cotton fabric. Choose light pastel shades like fawn, beige, mauve, cream and white. These colors will keep you cool. If the wedding bells are ringing in winter then choose fabric such as woolen, silk, chiffon etc. Dark shades go well in the chilly weather. You can wear black, brown, navy blue or dark grey. For men nothing can be better than a formal suit with a tie. 

The latest trend these days is wearing some ethnic dresses for example men are preferring   intricately embroided shervanis, brocade, long kurtas and dhotis which give them a typical Indian look. The fairer sex also prefer wearing traditional dresses as the six yard drapery that is the sari or lehngas which can be styled in a number of ways. Let your imagination soar and invent new ways of wearing the great Indian sari.

Never wear your wedding dress to another person’s wedding. Ladies avoid revealing too much of flesh as you are to witness a sacred event. Generally weddings are held in the church or other religious places  in the presence of a parson , priest or  muezzin, among the chanting of holy verses.

Never outdo the groom or the bride with your dress. After all, it is their great day. You have already been the centre of attraction on your big day. Now it is their turn to witness the same event.

The guests should look smart and elegant. Don’t wear something which does not suit you. Never wear dresses through which you become an object of derision. Don’t try stuff which is not comfortable. Try being descent and modest. Carry yourself well.

Do keep in mind the grooming part too. Make sure that your hair and nails are properly trimmed. Everybody abhors a smelly armpit. Use a good deodorant to ward off the smell. Wear clean socks to keep that stink away from your feet. Wear well polished shoes. Men make sure you shave if you are not keeping a beard and use a good quality after shave. Ladies also get your pedicure and manicure done so as to enhance your beauty. Use a branded perfume to keep your fresh.
